The 2011-2012 Atlanta Hawks are the true definition of Moneyball.

The Atlanta Hawks 2011-2012 Free agent signings consisted of

Jason Collins
Erick Dampier
Willie Green
Tracy McGrady
Jannero Pargo
Vladimir Radmanovic
Jerry Stackhouse

Nobody wanted to play with the Atlanta Hawks. So they did the best they could to create a competitive team. The Atlanta Hawks were forced to sign with old and declining NBA veterans. The Atlanta Hawks because of this became the oldest team in the NBA. But their starting line-up was still quite young. This is what happens when teams like the Miami Heat have three stars teaming up. This is bad for business. This is bad for the NBA.

NBA Free Agency 2012 does not make sense.

Why does JaVale McGee get a five-year deal worth $50 million from the Nuggets? But Jeremy Lin gets a four-year, $28.9 million contract only. McGee will make three million more than Lin. Yet Lin is the better player and has more character than McGee. I think something is wrong here. There has been constant doubters of whether Lin is worth his contract. On the other hand, no body is talking about McGee.

Ranking of Mediocre teams in the NBA.

•January 21, 2012 • Leave a Comment

There is a recent trend of mediocre teams in the NBA because many NBA all-stars are requesting trades to team up with better players on better teams like the Miami Heat. Because of this many teams are very mediocre and left with no all-stars on their team. Gone are the days in the NBA, where players like Michael Jordan, Reggie Miller, played and stay on one team their whole NBA career. Also, bad teams only have young players that they recently drafted but in a couple of years for example John Wall. But those players eventually leave for better teams.
Ranking the most mediocre teams in the NBA.
1. Charlotte Bobcats- best player on the team? Boris Diaw probably. Currently is BJ Mullens. This is a pathetic looking team. In recent years, traded away their only good players Emeka Okafor and Gerald Wallace. Last couple years there best player was a old Stephen Jackson.
2. New Orleans Hornets- Traded Chris Paul. Only have Eric Gordon left who’s injured.
3. Phoenix Suns- Only have Steve Nash left. Not much to play for.
4. Milwaukee Bucks- Only have Brandon Jennings and Andrew Bogut.
5. Utah Jazz- Great start. But only have Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson, Derrick Favors neither of which will make the all-star team. Devin Harris has follow off the map.
6. Sacramento Kings- Best player Demarcus Cousins, who has problems.
7. Washington Wizards- Worst team in the NBA. John Wall has declined.

Nobody believed in the Mavericks. But now the Mavericks are 2-0 on the Lakers. Now here comes the bandwagoners.

Memphis Grizzlies beating the Spurs. Here’s hoping for more upsets.

The Memphis Grizzlies are now up 3-1 on the Spurs. This could mean the end of the Spurs dynasty. A possible breakup of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili in the future is now a real possibility. I’m expecting the Grizzlies to win the series. This is create an exciting shake to the NBA playoffs. But heres hoping. The Grizzlies will face the Thunder. I hope the Grizzlies win but it will probably be the Thunder who win and the Thunder will probably play the Lakers in the Western Conference finals. I hope the Thunder don’t lose to the Lakers because that would be so boring and predictable. Here’s hoping that the Blazers with a much better Brandon Roy beat the Mavericks in 7 games and then beat the Lakers. Here’s hope the Grizzlies and Blazers in the Western Conference Finals. I hope Grizzlies win the championship and Zach Randolph is Finals MVP. But very unlikely. But I hope more upsets happen and it does not turn out boring like when the Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks but then lost to the Utah Jazz. Creating the most boring NBA Finals ever. The Spurs sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-0.

Kevin Love is officially better than OJ Mayo

•February 5, 2011 • Leave a Comment

Kevin Love has been named by NBA Commissioner David Stern to replace injured West All-Star center Yao Ming (stress fracture, left ankle) of the Houston Rockets in the 2011 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles. Currently in his third NBA season, this is Love’s first All-Star selection. Love in 2008 was taken fifth overall by the Memphis Grizzlies, and was traded to the Timberwolves on draft night for the third overall selection, O. J. Mayo, in an eight-player deal. It looks like the winner of the 2008 NBA draft trade are the Minnesota Timberwolves. Kevin Love is an all-star while OJ Mayo is becoming a bust.

Sebastian Telfair is hot right now

Sebastian Telfair is averaging 10.2 PPG 3.6 APG in 9 games. For some reason there is a trend of bad players playing well in Minnesota.

This is now Kwame Brown’s 4th chance

•August 25, 2010 • 1 Comment

I’ve read from many NBA blog’s that the Charlotte Bobcats recent sign of Kwame Brown is his 2nd chance in the NBA. But its not!!! It’s his 4th chance in the NBA. Kwame Brown’s 1st chance was in Washington, 2nd chance in LA, 3rd chance in Detroit and now this is his 4th chance. He now has a great chance to start with the Bobcats because they have no center.
