Al Harrington: Don Nelson Ruins Careers Is Anthony Randolph the next Chris Webber

Al Harrington: I talk to B-Wright every once in a while. I just tell him to keep his head, try to stay positive and try to weather this Nellie Storm. Because he’s been known to, you know, ruin guys’ careers. So hopefully that won’t happen to those guys.

Chris Webber drafted #1 in the 1993 NBA Draft was traded away after just one season with the Warriors averaging 17.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per game and winning the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. Chris Webber was traded away because of his constant disputes with head coach Don Nelson. Chris Webber ended up becoming one of the best power fowards in the game and future hall of famer with the Sacramento Kings. Trading away Chris Webber has haunted the Golden State franchise who previously had not made the playoffs in 13 years. Anthony Randolph is not as good as Chris Webber but he is in the same situation. Don Nelson has worn out his welcome and needs to get fired before he pulls another “Chris Webber” and ruins the Golden State Warrior franchise again.
